The sentences handed down for other crimes, such as robbery or sexual assault, can also be far more severe when a gun is involved. If you have been charged with violating New Jersey's gun laws, you may wish to consult with a criminal defense attorney who has experience with these types of cases and is familiar with the state's firearm sentencing enhancements.
